About Tibetdaily
We are a small team in Lhasa. We plan and run Tibet trips for visitors from abroad, with Tibetan guides, permits filed with every booking and plans paced for the altitude.
Who we are
Tibetdaily began as a travel desk for friends of friends who needed a permit and a trustworthy driver. Today a team of planners, permit officers and guides works from one office in Lhasa, at 3,650 metres, and answers every enquiry ourselves.
How we plan trips
Every itinerary starts with the body, not the sights. We add rest days before the high passes, keep sleeping altitude below what most people handle comfortably, and choose hotels with warm rooms and, where possible, oxygen.
Licensed and accountable
Tibetdaily is a licensed travel agency registered in the Tibet Autonomous Region. Only a registered agency can apply for the Tibet Travel Permit on behalf of foreign visitors, which is why every booking goes through us. Your payment is held in a client account until your trip departs.
The team
