It can be, with a slower itinerary and a doctor’s check first. We build extra Lhasa days for families and travellers over 65.
Before you book
Speak to your doctor about the trip, especially if anyone has a heart, lung or blood-pressure condition, or is pregnant. Share your doctor’s advice with us when you enquire so we can plan the route. We do not give medical advice or dosing.
How we change the plan
Extra nights at 3,650 m before going higher.
Choose Nyingchi, at 2,950 m, or keep to Lhasa and Shigatse.
Fewer long days, with more stops.
Oxygen in every vehicle, and hotels with oxygen rooms where possible.
What helps on the day
Let children rest at the first sign of tiredness and keep them drinking water. Older travellers should keep a slow pace on stairs, particularly at the Potala. Tell your guide early if anyone feels unwell.
Cuéntanos tus fechas y te responderemos con un plan y plazos de permiso.
